WartsThese are harmless growths on the skin or mucous membrane. They can grow upto 6mm in diameter. These appear rough, with a cauliflower-like surface and may have small, black splinter like dots. CausesAll warts are caused by a virus. This virus is contagious and is spread by touch or through contact. Sings & SymptomsThe first sign of a wart is usually a small, horny lump on the head, face, scalp or knees, although they can grow on any part of the body. Herbal MedicinesCastor oil, if applied regularly for a fairly long period, softens the warts. This should be applied adequately. Papaya Milk: Papaya fruit milk is also effective in breaking the warts. Its regular application over the warts should be continued for longer periods to get the desired effect for warts treatment. Cashewnut Oil: It is extracted from the shells of cashewnuts. It acts on the warts by irritating them. Onions: Onion piece, when rubbed over the warts, causes some irritation. Used over longer periods, warts disappear, especially if they are small. Kasisadi Tailam should be applied on the warts for 15 days as an external application. |
